What it means
Usual causes are a faulty immobilizer amplifier, or an open/short in the wiring or connector to it. Kawasaki shows this on models fitted with the immobilizer (chip-key) anti-theft system, via the FI/service-code display. The engine will not start until the fault is resolved. Note: code numbers can vary by model — confirm against your manual. Once the fault is resolved the code clears; key/component registration requires a Kawasaki diagnostic tool and the registration procedure.
