On Suzuki motorcycles and scooters, FI code C46 means a fault in the exhaust control valve actuator circuit — the servo that moves Suzuki’s exhaust tuning valve to broaden the power band.

What it means
Usual causes are a seized exhaust valve or stretched cables, a failed actuator motor, or a connector/wiring fault. Applies to Suzuki models fitted with an exhaust control valve (e.g. GSX-R sport bikes). This is a generic Suzuki fuel-injection (FI) code, so it applies across Suzuki FI models — the Raider R150 Fi, Gixxer, GSX-R and GSX-S range, V-Strom, and more. Suzuki reports it as a "C" number via the FI-light blink pattern or dealer/diagnostic mode. After the fault is repaired it becomes a stored "history" code; clear it through Suzuki’s dealer/diagnostic mode.
